Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 slices of bread
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray
  • Optional Shredded cheese for topping

Instructions

  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the slices of bread inside.
  • Use the bottom of a glass to press an indent into the center of each bread slice, then use your fingers to press down the center slightly.
  • Crack an egg into the indent of each slice. It’s okay if some of the egg white spreads beyond the indent. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Place the air fryer basket into the air fryer and cook at 340°F (170°C) for 8 minutes.
  • (Optional) If you’d like to add cheese, sprinkle a small amount over the egg during the last minute of cooking.
  • Carefully remove the toast with a spatula and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

Customize it: Add toppings like shredded cheese, diced avocado, or crumbled bacon for extra flavor.
Yolk preference: For a runnier yolk, reduce the cooking time by 1–2 minutes. For a firmer yolk, increase by 1–2 minutes.
Bread choice: Thick-cut bread works best to hold the egg without getting soggy.
