- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 package taco seasoning plus water as directed on the package
- 2 cans Pillsbury pizza dough
- 12 Colby Jack cheese sticks
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
Preheat the oven to 425°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Keep the pizza dough refrigerated until ready to use.
In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5–7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
Add the minced garlic, taco seasoning, and water (as directed on the taco seasoning packet). Stir and cook for 2–3 minutes until most of the liquid is evaporated. Remove from heat.
Unroll one can of pizza dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and stretch into a 12x8-inch rectangle. Cut into six 4x4-inch squares. Repeat with the second can of dough, making 12 squares total.
Spoon about 3 tablespoons of the taco meat mixture into the center of each square.
Cut each cheese stick in half and place one half on top of the meat filling.
Fold the edges of the dough over the filling and pinch the seams to seal. Fold in the ends and seal them on the same side as the seam. Place each stick seam-side down on the baking sheet.
In a small bowl, melt the butter and mix in garlic powder and dried parsley. Brush the tops of the taco sticks with the seasoned butter.
Bake for 12–14 minutes, or until golden brown and puffy. Serve warm.
