Sauce
- 1/2 cup coconut aminos
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Stir Fry
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil or preferred cooking oil
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- 1- inch piece of ginger grated
- 1 head of cabbage thinly sliced (about 8 cups)
- 1/2 cup shredded carrot
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Green onion slices and sesame seeds for garnish
In a small bowl, whisk together all the sauce ingredients and set aside.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the chopped onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the garlic and ginger, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the shredded cabbage, carrots, and prepared sauce. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the cabbage is tender and the sauce thickens.
Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
