Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef stew meat
  • 1 ½ pounds baby Yukon gold potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons seasoned salt
  • 1 tablespoon garlic chopped
  • 5 tablespoons butter cut into 1-tablespoon pads

Instructions

Prepare the Slow Cooker:

  • Place the beef stew meat on one side of the slow cooker and the baby potatoes on the other side.
  • Sprinkle the onion powder, garlic powder, and seasoned salt evenly over both the beef and potatoes.

Season the Beef:

  • Gently toss the beef side of the slow cooker to coat the meat evenly with the seasoning.
  • Try to keep the beef and potatoes separate as much as possible.

Add Garlic and Butter:

  • Sprinkle the chopped garlic over the top of the beef and potatoes.
  • Place the butter pads evenly over the garlic, beef, and potatoes.

Cook:

  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 hours, or until the beef is tender and cooked through.

Serve:

  • Spoon the sauce from the bottom of the slow cooker over the beef and potatoes before serving.

Notes

For a faster cook time, substitute beef stew meat with cubed sirloin steak and cook on high for 4 hours.
