Ingredients

  • 1 box strawberry cake mix
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Granulated sugar for rolling
  • Hershey Kisses unwrapped

Instructions

Make the Dough:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil and eggs until smooth. Gradually mix in the flour and strawberry cake mix. Stir in the milk and mix just until a soft dough forms.

Shape and Chill:

  • Using a #30 cookie scoop (or about 2 tablespoons), scoop the dough into balls. Roll each ball in granulated sugar to coat. Place on a tray or plate, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.

Bake:

  • Preheat the oven to 375ºF and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Place chilled dough balls about 2 inches apart on the prepared sheets. Bake one sheet at a time for 8–10 minutes, keeping the remaining dough chilled between batches.

Add the Kisses:

  • As soon as the cookies come out of the oven, gently press an unwrapped Hershey Kiss into the center of each warm cookie. Let the cookies cool completely on the baking sheet before transferring them to a storage container.

Notes

Chilling the dough keeps the cookies from spreading too much and helps maintain their soft, thick texture.
Mix it up by using different types of Hershey Kisses like white chocolate, Hugs, or dark chocolate for a twist on flavor.
